In the afternoon sessions, the election process was the main event for every committee. Candidates vied for the title of vice chair They both delivered a two minute presentation highlighting the reasons why they should be voted for. At the end of the voting process, the delegate representing USA, Le- Shante La Toya Marks, won.
The election process for the chair of the next English speaking MOAS followed directly after. Delegates representing Barbados, Canada, St. Kitts and Nevis along with the Vice Chair of the Committee were the candidates vying for the title and so they all delivered their persuasive speeches. After the first count of votes, none of the representatives got a majority of the votes. As a result, there was a recount for the delegate representing St. Kitts and Nevis and delegates representing Barbados. At the end, Gustavo Carrillo, delegate representing Barbados was victorious after he had previously encouraged the other delegates to “vote for the person they see fit for the role of presidency.”
